$650 This queer, butch, femme, collective house is worth the rent!
(Central Area)
This enormous Victorian house is worth the money. You should check us out before you pay less for less. If you want to love the place you live in, this is the home for you. We all enjoy life, welcome new folks and guests into our home, and value our shared life here, in this 107-year old house and classic, Seattle neighborhood. We know our neighbors, the neighbors visit, and we have annual yard-sales and block parties. The house is elegant, neatly kept by all of us, and just funky enough to be really comfortable. There are rooms here one does not find in modern houses. We have a parlor and a front room. Ample cooks kitchen, including an outdoor urban fire-pit. And a dining room. There are three bathrooms, a basement for some storage, and a laundry room. The ceilings are high, there are hardwood floors, a nice backyard with flowers, a picnic table and herb/veggie garden. We like entertaining here. It is the kind of living situation you could bring your boss to and have a professional meeting, or you could bring your friends here for a fun party. We've got it all! If you are a queer female, please call us and check out this great situation. Please, no cigarettes, no canines or other felines.
Here's who we are: Four omnivores, plus three rescue kitties. Our occupations are: semi retired national parks bear-relocator, construction safety manager, private chef/costumer, and beer-geek/tour guide/nutritionist (Yes...that last entry is all one person.). Your room 9 ½ X 14. It has a window, wireless, DirectTV, landline, and a large closet. The rent is very worth the lifestyle you get when you live here!! $650 plus utilities/expenses. The freshly painted room and your new amazing, elegant, fun life are available now. You may move in now or Jan. 1st.

Queers and Allies Unite, Take Back the Night: A Candlelight Vigil against Anti-LGBTQ Violence in Capitol Hill (Feb. 28)

***Safe Schools Coalition proudly endorses this vigil****

A recent upsurge in hate crimes against members of LGBTQ community has called the Queer Ally Coalition into action. We are fighting back against the violence and hatred with a peaceful candlelight vigil. We would like to invite you to light a candle for the people who have fallen victim to hate crimes in our community and throughout the rest of the country.

The Queer Ally Coalition will be doing some fund raising at the event, selling candles, rainbow flags, and whistles, which we hope will prevent future attacks from happening to members of our community. See you there!

It starts at 8pm at the Pillars on Boren Ave. and Pike St. in Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA.

i'm writing an article on the theme of lesbian-identified women dating/loving/shagging men, and i want to know what you think about it. the angle i'm going to take is that sexuality is fluid, labels mean different things to different people, and that they don't describe the complexity of sex and sexuality. or rather, that will be the moral of my story, the real meat will be describing the 'phenomenon'. you do not have to be a lesbian, or even identify as queer (or anything at all) to answer some of these questions. you can even be straight.

mood: complacent

So ABC has openly admonished Isiah Washington for his comments and
taken a strong stance against such bigotry and prejudice. BIG KUDOS to
ABC for taking such a stand. I suggest everyone go to
http://abc.go.com/site/contactus.html and thank ABC for showing their
support of the gay community and not tolerating any sort of prejudice
from their actors.

Here is a link to the story I found about ABC's comments
http://apnews1.iwon.com//article/20070119/D8MO3R3G0.html

I really hope Isiah Washington is written off the show by the end of
the season. Send his character off to where ever to do charity work or
some such... Isiah has said he would like to see a story line about
Drs without borders so there is the perfect out that can also serve to
shed light on a wonderful social program.

Now open for support, </a></b></a>queercancercare, a livejournal community for queer caregivers of folks with cancer.

You might be a queer caregiver of a person with cancer if...

You've had to explain to emergency room personnel that no, you're not sisters, but yes you are family.
You've been tempted to write a love song for Zofran.
You've overheard your parents tell their neighbors "oh she's just a little upset because her room-mate has cancer."
You're afraid that if one more person asks "what are you doing to take care of YOURSELF" you might commit an act of violence.
You've been ever been mistaken for "the one with cancer" because people think your extremely short haircut looks like you are post-chemo.
You've screamed "of course he's on a lot of narcotics. He has cancer!"

This community is for all queer caregivers of folks with cancer...whether that person is your spouse, partner, mistress, best friend, shortstop on your softball team, parent, child, however you define family.

The idea is to share strength, support, ideas, resources and a listening ear.

LESBIANS only please
  sara_ramirez_1

07:56pm 14/11/2006
My friend was talking to me today about how she thought she was gay cause she keeps having dreams about girls and such.. so I really didn't have a answer for her so she turned the question around on me and said if a lesbian had a dream about a guy would that mean she wasn't gay.. still didn't have a answer for her.. so I thought I would ask the professionals I mean I know there cant really be a definate answer cause everyone is different but since we are all mostly gay do any of you have dreams about guys and if so does that make you feel less gay...

I know I have on occasion and I don't really think much of it but now after this question I am def. going to think more on it
